Message from the Mayor

Welcome to the City of Tuckerman’s website. I am hopeful that information obtained here will enable you to learn about our beautiful city. We plan to continuously update this page with the latest project information and other announcements.

Located in the northern section of Jackson County, where S.H. 37 meets S.H. 367, known as the Rock ‘n’ Roll Highway. Tuckerman offers good living, a mild climate, and a country lifestyle conducive to the avid sportsperson.

U.S. Highway 67, an important part of Arkansas’ freeway system, lies within 5 miles of our city limits, connecting Tuckerman to several major cities such as Jonesboro, Little Rock, Dallas, Memphis and St. Louis.

Tuckerman is also home to a great public school system, the Jackson County Public School District. The elementary and high school campus is located in Tuckerman and the middle school is located in Swifton.

Efficient public services are provided to the citizens of Tuckerman through various departments operating on a total average budget of $1,500,000.

As of October 23, 2017, our ISO rating has decreased from a SIX to a FIVE.
